Circuit Breaker Tax Credit

The Circuit Breaker Tax credit is better known as Property Tax Credit. This benefit is provided by the government and is available to those that are age 62 on social security or on full disability -any age-. (Social Security Disability) To claim this credit you must live in a place that pays personal property tax or own a place that you pay property tax on. This credit can be claimed up to 4 years prior including this year.

Eligibility

-  Must be a Missouri Resident

- Spouse or you must be at least age 65 before the end of the year

- And/Or must be 100 percent disabled (On Social Security Disability)

- Age 60 receiving spouse's Social Security Benefits

- Homeowner, Single, making no more than $30,000 annually

- Home owner, married, filing jointly, making no more than $34,000

- Renters, that are single, making no more than $27,500


- Renters, that are married, Filing jointly, making no more than $29,500
